About Alpha Apex Group

Alpha Apex Group has been providing recruiting and talent acquisition services since its inception in 2020. Founded by Jake Jorgovan and Elisabeth Cairnes, this Denver-based company focuses on filling C-Suite, leadership, and technical positions in top companies nationwide.

At first glance, Alpha Apex Group may appear to be an employer-focused company; however, it’s also in the business of helping job seekers. To do this, it collects the job seekers’ resumes and matches them with fitting leadership roles.

Alpha Apex Group has successfully placed over 2,000 jobseekers in various executive positions across different industries worldwide.

To be more specific, their headhunting efforts have helped professionals secure jobs in high-stakes industries, including:

  • Aerospace
  • Engineering
  • Healthcare
  • Sports
  • Education
  • Legal
  • BioPharma
  • Real Estate

In pursuit of their mission to secure the right talent, Alpha Apex Group partners with various organizations. In fact, they’ve teamed up with Meta, AWS, Siemens, GDIT, Semrush, Altus Group, Skanska, Zendesk, and more.

One interesting thing about this company is that they offer a unique service called ‘fractional executive recruiting’. Here, they match executives with companies looking for temporary leadership. These roles are based on demand and offer no long-term commitment.

As a staffing company, they fill open positions quickly, with application letters sent to recruiters’ inboxes in as little as 72 hours. Alpha Apex Group also boasts a 43-day average time-to-fill for full-time hires, quicker than the national average.

While there’s no doubt that Alpha Apex Group is prominent in the world of staffing and recruitment, it’s worth exploring the quality of their services.

Alpha Apex Pros vs Cons

As with any company, there are pros and cons. It’s up to you to determine what is a “must-have” and what things you can live without.

Pros icon PROS
  • Exclusive focus on C-Suite, leadership, and technical roles
  • Partnered with Meta, AWS, Siemens, GDIT, Semrush, Altus Group, Skanska, Zendesk, and more
  • Job matching with suitable jobs as fast as 72 hours after they get posted
  • Thorough evaluation of prospective employers and employees
Cons icon CONS
  • Very few online reviews for customers to review
  • No job board for job seekers to find and apply for open positions
  • Not enough information on the job search process for the job seeker
  • Tailored for only executive and management-level jobs

If you are looking for a staffing agency, Alpha Apex is a great option, but it is worth considering other alternatives to find the best fit for your needs.

Alpha Apex Group Reviews

Our Certified Career Experts have rated Alpha Apex Group a 50/100. Additionally, Alpha Apex Group has received 10 customer reviews with a rating of 5/5 stars on Google. The overall rating is impressive, but we expected to see a lot more reviews.

Google shows 10 reviews with an average rating of 5/5. Of the 10 reviews, only two of them had comments from the reviewers. The comments emphasized how helpful and effective the Alpha Apex Group team was.

Overall, the reviews that Alpha Apex Group received from its customers are okay. Of course, it would’ve been better to see more reviews on verifiable platforms like Trustpilot, Sitejabber, Yelp, and BBB, especially if they have placed 2,000+ clients.

One might argue that their services are used by companies and executive-level professionals who may not have the time to leave reviews. But it still would have been nice to see more feedback about the quality of their work.

We also discovered that all 10 reviews on their Google profile were received during the same month recently. This is interesting for a 4+ year-old company and brings into question the validity of the reviews.

Further research revealed that Alpha Apex Group occupied the top spot in several “best recruiters” articles on jake-jorgovan.com. However, seeing as the website is owned by Alpha Apex Group’s co-founder, it stands to reason that the articles and their rankings are biased. A review from a third-party site is always better.

As with anything, it’s important to take each review with a grain of salt. Additional research should be done beyond reading the reviews that are found online.

How Much Does Alpha Apex Group Cost?

Since this is a staffing agency, there is no charge to the job seeker for Alpha Apex Group’s executive recruiting services. Alpha Apex is paid by their clients, the employers they are filling positions for.

Alpha Apex Group functions as a recruiting or staffing agency for executive-level roles. This means that companies contract them to fill their open positions with the best talents for a fee.

On the plus side, this means that you do not have to pay a dime before you get matched with a suitable job.

On the other hand, it means they do not make any special effort to get you a job. You can only submit your resume and hope to be matched with a fitting role.

Alpha Apex Group Team

We found no information about team members on the company’s website. However, after some research, we found 10 employees on the company’s LinkedIn profile. Unfortunately, the profiles of most of these employees did not mention any recruiting or staffing experience.

In the end, we only found three bonafide members of Alpha Apex Group’s team: co-founders Jake Jorgovan and Elisabeth Cairnes, and Jeffrey Doehler, the company’s Director of Client Strategy.

Jake is a renowned expert in B2B podcasting, as well as the founder of Content Allies, a premier B2B podcast agency. He has produced podcasts for top B2B companies like Meta, Siemens Energy, and Alibaba.com.

Elisabeth, on the other hand, is the Director of Partnerships. She is a seasoned partnership expert focused on building strategic partnerships and exploring new avenues for collaboration.

Jeffrey Doehler is tasked with preparing job seekers for new positions. This preparation involves getting them ready for interviews and negotiations, revamping their resumes, networking, accessing the hidden job market, and more.

The profiles of other employees revealed roles like growth marketing specialist, placement partner, content writer, outreach specialist, and resume writer.

About Jake Jorgovan

Jake Jorgovan is the co-founder of Alpha Apex Group, but his services go beyond that. As a B2B podcasting consultant, he specializes in creating and managing podcasts that generate revenue for his clients.

Over five years ago, Jake founded Content Allies, an agency that supports businesses in all aspects of podcast production, from strategy to execution. He also established Listen Network to help companies enhance their podcast reach and downloads. Through both agencies, he has produced over 3,000 podcasts for top clients, including Alibaba, Meta, Zendesk, AWS, and Cisco.

As noted above, Jake manages a website, jake-jorgovan.com, which aims to offer B2B consulting in AI, marketing, and podcasting. However, it includes several listicles that self-promote his Alpha Apex Group as the “best recruiter,” which may undermine the site’s objectivity.

While Jake’s track record is notable in podcasting and business growth, his expertise in recruiting or staffing remains unclear.

How Does Alpha Apex Group Work?

The Alpha Apex Group’s approach to workplace recruitment or staffing is fairly straightforward.

Once an employer contacts Alpha Apex to fill a role, the Alpha Apex Group team conducts research into the company’s operations. This lets them understand the company’s goals, needs, and challenges. They use this information to properly connect companies with job seekers who are the right fit and can integrate easily into the team.

After this, the team identifies qualified candidates and screens them based on a unique vetting process. Resumes and cover letters of qualified candidates whose profiles align with the company’s objectives, culture, and standards are submitted to the company’s hiring manager within 72 hours.

The Alpha Apex Group team provides continuous support to both the company and the chosen candidates. This support includes onboarding guidance and performance monitoring. This ensures that both the employer and the new employee are well-suited for each other.

Is Alpha Apex Group Worth It?

So, you’re wondering if Alpha Apex Group is the right thing for you? Well, remember, they work for the employers, not you. Their goal is to fill positions, not find you the perfect job.

Sure, they claim to match you with great roles, but whose interests do you think they’ll prioritize? Yours or the company paying them?

Plus, Alpha Apex’s website is still geared towards employers. There’s little information on how they match you with jobs from a job seeker’s perspective. And, unlike most staffing agencies, they don’t even have a job board where you can browse and apply for positions.

While submitting your resume to Alpha Apex Group won’t hurt, if you want a service that prioritizes your needs, consider a reverse recruiting service. They’re focused on helping you find a job, not the other way around.

Find My Profession’s Reverse Recruiting services will manage your entire job search and free you from job search sites. Their career experts handle everything from job searching and applications to interview preparation.
